So I purchased a thermowell 90 degree elbow to install in my plumbing. The problem is it's not a "high flow" elbow like the rest of the plumbing. Can I install it in parallel somewhere or is that a bad idea? End goal to display pool temp on my phone. Excuse my crude diagram:

You can put in a parallel loop although I think it will add as much head as just putting it in place of one of your high flow elbows.

@mas985 may have thoughts.

Maybe better to just put it inline after the filter? Is there a better way to insert the temp sensor into the system? I'm using a ds18b20 and want to keep it electrically isolated from the water as much as possible.

Maybe?

Maybe?
My concern is the metal well is in contact with pool water and the th16 runs on 110v. Electrocution hazard? A plastic well seems safer.
