Pool water temperature is now 62øF. Water is clear. No algae.
IC40 SWG LEDs: Cell - OFF; Sanitizer Output 100% Cold Water - OFF; Low Salt - ON I set the Cell
K2006C:
pH: 7.6 TA: 80
Free Cl: 3.5 PPM
*CYA: dot still visible at the 30 line. It was 60 in January before all the California rain
*NaCL: 2400
Questions:
1. Best Conditioner to use?
2. How to properly add conditioner? The last time I did this the pool store told me to add it directly into the skimmer. Pump shut down 3 days later and I had to clean the filters. I've seen "socks in the skimmer", "just throw it in the water" "Mix in Warm water and pour into skimmer". What is the best approach?
4. TFP suggests 60-90 ppm CYA for SWQ but Pentair suggests 30-50. Any comment on the disparity?
3. Is there a proper sequence: Salt before conditioner?
4. Anything else?
Thanks in advance

Any conditioner/stabilizer will work.
Add them at same time.
Maintain FC with liquid chlorine until SWCG is operational.
Thanks
Do you have any opinion as to which CYA level to Choose? Pool Math (60-90) vs Pentair IC40 Manual (30-50)?

I would worry about your low salt level before worrying about your CYA. At FC 3.5 you're okay for now, but you're going to want to get the salt level up to where the SWCG will produce chlorine here pretty soon, or have some liquid chlorine on hand to manually dose. Once you're producing chlorine you can turn your attention to your CYA level.
