My friend had a problem with the sand filter had a pool guy come out and replace the valve on his doughboy and now it looks like this
The return line is hooked up to the waistline is that possible??

The manual for the Silica II series filters shows that hookup as correct.



I recommend you get the exact model number from that filter, download the manual and double check.
