Hi there. I decided on Stone Scapes Mini in Aqua White. Now I'm wondering if I should add glass to it for some extra sparkle and shimmer. If so, do I just ask for glass (neutral)/does that exist? Or is the glass mixture addition the "Puerto Blend Mix" that everyone writes about? Should I do a combination of glass and abalone? Any explanations/suggestions/photos would be greatly appreciated!

I just had my Pool resurfaced with StoneScapes Mini Pebble Aqua Blue but it was a custom mix because they added abalone shells and some colored (red, purple, teal) glass beads from the JewelScapes line.

These photos were taken about half an hour after the plaster crew left. The shiny stuff don’t show in these pics but the shine emerged in a spectacular way when the crew came back to do an acid wash and it only gets better as I brush twice daily as part of the start-up process.IMG_7657.jpegIMG_7655.jpegIMG_7656.jpeg

Edit: I didn’t answer your question. I’d definitely add in something (glass or abalone or whatever) to give it some shine under the sun. It looks awesome!

Thanks so much for the info! Your pool looks gorgeous. I'm curious whether you added all the colors for depth/aesthetics mainly or if it would help the sun heat the pool.

The actual color of the base plaster is helping with absorbing the sunIMG_4145.jpg more than the exposed aggregate color.
If possible have the glass/abalone shell added just before the last trowel so all the product is at the surface for the most exposure after the acid wash.
