The Masters

I'll be curious how the dogwoods and azaleas are blooming. The Masters usually takes place at peak bloom. I'm farther north in NC and the dogwoods and azaleas have been blooming for a week. I wonder if its past peak this year and if its the warm temperatures this year are affecting the timing.

The azaleas look good this year. The famed pimiento cheese sandwiches are not up to par...but for $1.50 they're still great. Lots of rain expected so I hope it doesn't interfere too much. The kids get out of school for The Masters but not necessarily for Easter (as that date changes yearly). The town is hopping!

A few years ago a huge tree was damaged during a storm. It was replaced with another large tree overnight and no one was wiser. They have cooling pipes under the plants to slow them down blooming when needed. The Augusta National Golf Club can do amazing things when they want to move mountains.

Today looks brutal, was just watching the final close out of the 2nd round. Justin Thomas bogeyed 17 allowing Tiger and everyone else at +3 to make the cut. Driving rain and wind, just miserable. A buddy is there with 50 clients (never been myself) today, that's gotta suck when you wait a lifetime maybe to go. We have a client that is a member and its on my bucket list to go play with him once with my old boss (I'm retired). Play the par 3 and then 18, stay over night and then play 18 the next day. That's the only bucket list item I have. Not sure it will happen but it is my best odds which are long. I just want to stick my tee shot on #12 and I can hang up my clubs.

Yeah, watching the Masters is cool and all, but have you ever played Links 386?
