Hey all, first post and I been lurking a bit. Usual first post - I’ve been “Leslie’d” and “done by my own good”- if you will- but I now am a student in the art of SLAM and am preparing my first process of SLAM. I am happy to be apart of the dojo.
The gist of this story is the usual: had green water, I used the pool store advice and stuff and have had a blue cloud for about 10 days.
I decided to drain about 60/70% and SLAM as my CYA was a bit too high and was hoping to combat the haziness a bit and do believe I am fighting something organic in my water as it is still cloudy and blue, I can barely see the bottom at all. My Taylor 2006-K comes tonight but I stopped by Leslie’s about 15 mins ago just to see where I’m currently at:
Todays numbers read after the drain and fill:
FC: 0.93
TC: 1.52
Ph: 7.4
Alk: 68
Hardness: 97
CYA: 26
Any advice on these levels before I start the SLAM? Going to try and get that CYA above 30 when I get home today.
TIA and I appreciate all you Pool Gurus here making this place the true answer.
