Thanks for the add. I only recently learned of this resource from a friend who said this TFP is invaluable! From the little I’ve already read, completely agree and wish I had of found this much earlier.
I’m in Buda, Texas. Have had a pool for a number of years previously, but never maintained it myself. Now that I’m semi-retired, and my last service guy made it look so simple, I decided to have a go for myself since moving into our new (to us) home in Buda.
I’ve had nothing but challenges most of the summer, chasing excessive chlorine consumption. Was initially advised that Phosphate were my problem. Played that game for weeks - no success. I think I’m finally on the right diagnosis; very high CYA - along with learning I have mustard algae - I thought it was just silt/sand that I was brushing off the tanning ledge.
