They were doing the zooms - not sure if that will take place again but they were more of a q&a session.
I would say that if you wanted to host some thing like that just set a date & put the word out & have folks pm you for exact details (like address).
There’s a level of anonymity that most forum users appreciate so your responses may vary
& also, even though we’re all internet friends, you should still use reasonable caution.

My mom was in an aol chat room group many years ago called garden chat & made some very good friends from there from other locations that she has visited & they have visited her.
They all still talk outside of garden chat! That was at least 20 years ago.
