Texas Summers: What's your daily order of operations

During these hot summer days, I'm often topping off the water my pool every day or two and adding liquid chlorine and muriatic acid daily. Since the addition of any of the above requires time to thoroughly mix and since most people would add chemicals after the day of swimming is done, I'm wondering how you Texans (and pool owners in other HOT climates) manage your daily additions and allow for ample mixing time to test and show accurate results of pool chemistry.

Would you top off at the beginning of the day, test after swimming in the evening, add MA or Chlorine first (? - has it been determined that adding liquid chlorine DOES NOT have an effect on pH), allow the chemicals to mix for a certain period of time and then test to get an accurate assessment of chemical balance and CSI?

Can you top off with more volume, less often? I typically need to add water once weekly. I have high TA fill water, so I'll usually make MA addition after filling and then have the SWCG keeping up with FC.

Your logs show TA of 60, so I'm assuming your fill water is high in TA. The faster you beat the TA back down, the less pH drift. When you add MA, what are you targeting? If I were you, I wouldn't add any acid until pH hits 8.0. Target 7.2 for a bigger adjustment, then you should go ~1 week between additions as long as TA stays around 50-60.

I grab my water sample after dinner to see what (if any adjustments) are required. Before my SWG, I would add the chlorine each evening, then follow-up with muriatic acid (if needed) a few minutes later with good water movement. I usually have to add acid about every 4 days or so. Before my SWG, I always kept my CYA at 60-70. With my SWG my CYA is at 70, sometimes 80. It's been exceptionally windy thus far which steals water quickly. I add water about every 2-3 days.

Given that it never rains, I'm tempted to plug my overflow. Winds from a specific direction just push water into overflow continuously...
