It is best with a SWCG to test the FC just before the SWCG starts for the day. The pump should have been running for about 30 minutes before testing.

Yes. Daily testing. Trying to check daily to get my swg/FC in the right settings/timer.

As long as you do it the same time each day, that is OK too. I suggest just before SWCG comes on for the day as that will be the lowest the FC should be in the pool water for the next 24 hour period.
