We haven’t even broken ground on construction yet, that’s about two weeks away. But I’ve already ordered and received my tf-pro salt kit and tested my fill water so I’ll know what I up against. I’ll be filling my pool from our well and the water tested as follows:

FC 0 (I didn’t actually test chlorine or CYA)
CC 0
pH 7.2
TA 340
CH 250
CYA 0
Salt 200

What gives? pH of 7.2 and 340 total alkalinity? No wonder I can literally watch scale build up on the fixtures running unsoftened water. How does this look for full water? I know the alkalinity is going to cause me issues. What are your thoughts on mitigating this? Tons of Muriatic acid then aerating the heck out of it to bring pH back up? Should I buy stock in a Muriatic acid company?

There's not much you could do about the TA of the fill water. Evaporation and top offs will continue to pull up TA. Since you're still in the pre-construction stage, one of your priorities should be a water softener. This will help to stabilize CH levels and mitigate some of your battles.
