TF-Pro just arrived today. I'm used to the cheap HTH style kits. I didn't have a problem with the TA test (it came in at 130). The PH test was just like the common kits so that was easy. My PH measured at 8.2 so I know I need to add acid. How do I figure out how much acid is needed? Doesn't the TF-Pro have an acid demand test? That seems to be a big miss on the TF team that creates the kits?

I loaded the app as recommended by the test kit and loaded my first set of results. I didn't see a test for demand in the kit, but I just now checked the Overview in the PM app and clicked on the pH section and found the recommendation. Nice. "Add 57 oz....."

But: It appears that IF I got the TF-Pro but not the Pool Math app I would have to go get another test kit to get the acid demand recommendation? Is that the case? You know the TF kit was not cheap.

We don't use acid demand. Not needed with pool math. I have the both kits and I've never used the acid demand, not needed.
