A day early! So here's what I got for free chlorine. 22.5ppm. Should I bother to test the rest when it's this high? And can I swim when it's this high?
Whether or not it is safe to swim depends on your CYA level. See the FC CYA chart in my signature. It is safe to swim up to the shock level for the corresponding CYA.
Total alkalinity test turns blue instead of green. And takes 10 drops to turn yellow instead of pink or red. Hardness test turns purple then to blue. 230ppm ch.
So. Free chlorine. 22.5 ph 6.5. Maybe. Total alkali 100ppm. Maybe. Hardness 230 ppm. Cya 55. Maybe. I don't know that I am getting accurate results. I watched the video 6 times now but my colors don't match exactly.
Second test I come up with 25 ppm chlorine and 4 drops to get back to clear on the combined chlorine test. I don't understand the directions on how to calculate that.
