I see from the "How do I use Chlorine in my Spa (or Pool)" sticky that either the Taylor K-2006 or TF-100 test kits are recommended if you're using the TFP bleach/dichlor method.
If I'm ordering a kit on-line I will have shipping costs to factor in but adding extra reagents to the order shouldn't add very much to the total shipping cost so I'm thinking it would be cheaper in the long run to order some extra reagents along with the kit. The question is, which reagents in those kits am I likely going to use most frequently and therefore go through the most of? I figure it's gotta be the ones for Chlorine, pH (unless I get a pH meter) and maybe TA? What extra reagents do the experts recommend I stock up on and how many of each extra should I order? Is it wise to buy, say, 2 years worth of reagents at a time or do they have a shorter shelf life than that?
