I have a question about the test chemicals. I just received my refill kit for TF-100. This year up until now I have been using the chemicals I got last spring. When testing Alkalinity with last years chemicals I am at 80. When testing with the new chemicals I am at 160. The droplets of the R-0009 out of the new bottle appear to be coming out a lot smaller and faster than the bottle from last year. So I think it is the tip. I change the tip from the old bottle put on the new bottle and same thing smaller faster droplets. So now I am thinking the test chemical in the new bottle is thinner consistency. Has anyone else had this issue? I tend to believe the 80 is the correct number.

Sometimes a static electric charge can build up on the R-0009 dropper bottle tip, causing the drops to be smaller than usual and making the test read higher than actual. You can prevent this by wiping the tip of the dropper bottle with a damp cloth or tissue before you start and after each drop.

Thank You. I will try that.
