Teal pool color, 18 x 35x 8ft depth pool

Now on Day 5.

The color changing is heading in the right direction.

It’s now a teal cloudy color. Not yet blue.

I shocked it again tonight.

My thought is because it’s been 5 days of this process it’s time to clean the filter bc my PSI went from 10 to 18.

Filter is running.
I am currently waiting for my Taylor 100 pool test kit.

I am having hard time seeing how to stop water from flowing into my Pentair Filter. I was draining from bottom and feels like it’s a lot. Previous owner have electric plugs placed nearby the furnace and if I drain from drain valve, all the water would Cover that outlet so I have been using a wet vac to vac how much ever I can.

How do I get the water to empty in return line as much as possible? I have the skimmer line closed and all Power shut off before I tried to do this. The main circuit breaker and the breaker on/off switch next to the pool pump.

Currently I only have a 2 way test kit. This is the results:

CL 3.0

BR 6.5

pH 7.2

I ordered my TF-100 kit and should be arrive within next 5-7 days.

I just added the pool update this morning.
Are those yellowish that float to top yellow algae?
