I have several large trees near my pool. We decided to keep them when we built the pool three years ago as we like the partial shade they provide in the summer months.
This year, the leaves falling into the pool have seemingly been worse than before. I was recently out of town on a business trip during three or four days of heavy winds that piled leaves up on the water surface. Before my lovely wife could get home after work and skim the leaves with the net, an awful lot of them sank to the bottom. She eventually got the majority of them up off the bottom but they left large brown stains, I presume from the tannic acids and whatever else in them that can stain the pebble tec. How can I get these stains up? I’ve tried the polebrush to no avail. Are they similar to the acorn stains mentioned in another’s recent post, i.e. will they eventually fade on their own?
