I've had new build up for 2 weeks now. I test with the TF-100 kit. I have gotten all levels right on the money. I cannot get my TA to budge. My real question is should I actually worry about it or move on and enjoy my hardworking? I've dropped my PH to 7.2 two different times in attempt to lower TA. 110 is as low as I can get it.

Leave it alone. It'll come down slowly on it's own. Be vigilant about your FC and go swimming!

With borates in the water it becomes harder to lower TA. That is one of the negatives of borates.

What is the pH and TA of your fill water?

Yup, this is the right answer. When I filled my TA from county water was around 220. When if finally got down to 120 it stopped like it was stuck, but the PH of the pool was not swinging wildly like it was when I first filled it, so I just continued to do the test that year to keep an eye on it. this year it is sitting at 100 and I do the TA test only every other week as I am not going to stress over it.

As Duraleigh said- keep fc up
FC/CYA Levels & ph in the 7’s & go swammin!!
The borates in the water mean you need more acid to have the same effect on ph & ta so be sure you account for them in
PoolMath so the calculations are correct.
Usually the recommendation is to add borates after getting ta where you want it for this reason. But no worries it will be fine
