Switching from dry acid to muriatic acid

Hi,
We've been using "pH minus", a granular acid to lower pH in our SW pool and I just read in one of the stickies that dry acid should not be used with SWG! Why is that? Is it likely that I've done harm? Is it safe for me to switch to the liquid muriatic acid going forward even though I've already put the pH minus in previously?

Dry Acid is Sodium Bisulfate. Sulfate will build up in your water and it will destroy metals (SWCG) and concrete.

Always use muriatic acid. You may use muriatic acid now without issue.

Can you review your signature? A previous post mentioned you have a 1500 gallon pool listed with a 15000 gallon rated SWCG. Is that correct?

and I have a small 12ftx30 inch Intex pool, which says 1,718gal on the box, but my pool is slightly tilted so it has less than that, so I figure maybe around 1,500.

Do you think that my SWG is too intense for this pool? Is that what is causing my chlorine levels to climb so high?

And I could have sworn my tub of phMinus said it's hydrochloric acid.. is that the same as sodium bisulfate? I could be wrong. All these chemical names are starting to get jumbled up! I'm at work, otherwise I would check the bottle now.
