Do you want to remain using DE? You can put any new filter on your pool. A large cartridge filter would work well. Do you want to just convert to cartridge-DE using your same tank? Would require a re-plumb of the system and new valve as the inlet/outlet ports are reversed.

Since virtually every part of your existing filter would have to be replaced except the tank, if you could even get them all, a new filter would likely be the best option. While you can easily change a cartridge DE filter to a regular cartridge filter, there is a complete difference between your existing DE filter and a cartridge one.
