SWG pool liquid chlorine or SLAM requirements?

So my pool is now at 54 degree water temp, 50ppm CYA, 5ppm FC, 0ppm CC, and ph 7.5, I am wondering if, when closing, should I simply add some liquid chlorine and cover soon after? Or do I need to follow the entire SLAM process, even though the water is pretty cold, and crystal clear right now.

Raise the FC to SLAM level and close. Your pool water is now below 60F so all is good.

Thank you, I was unclear if I had to do the whole process of maintaining the slam FC level, or if I just had to raise it, and throw on the cover. It sounds like your telling me, since the pool is already cold, and will be covered from the sun, that the chlorine will linger much longer through the winter?

So, I am ready to close my AGP for the first time, and have read the articles on closing but still have some lingering questions. My measurements this AM were pH 7.8, FC 7.5, TA 120, CYA 100. The SWCG is not producing chlorine as water temp is 58 degrees. So, do I need to make any adjustments to the TA, CYA and/or pH prior to getting chlorine to shock level? What is the shock level I am looking to reach? I have the winter cover and closing accessories, including algaecide, just want to get the timing correct.
