Why is it advised to turn off the SWG while SLAMMing? Raising FC with bleach to SLAM levels and maintaining with SWG Seems like a good idea to me.

SWG cells simply are not designed to maintain such a high FC level. Cells are no match for organics. It over-works the cell and you get better dosing response/accuracy with liquid chlorine.

Like the above poster said it's really a waste of your cell life. Also, it will interfere with your FC readings. With the SWG running, you will not get a clear picture of how much FC the organic matter and UV is consuming in your pool during the SLAM. You should be running your pump 24/7 during the SLAM as well, so a proper OCLT is not possible.
