SWG 110 or 220 v

So I found a free Carvin Saniclear 40 SWG on Facebook Market place. From what I can see it looks like a Canadian rebadged basic Hayward unit. After ordering a flow switch and giving the cell a quick clean (looked pretty clean already but figured it wouldnt hurt) I made up a 3000 ppm solution of saltwater, plugged it in and clicked in the flow switch. Turns on and runs, YAY!
So here is my actual question, is there a big benefit in wiring it in as 230V vs 110V? it will be on a 14k gallon vinyl inground pool in the midwest.

Makes no difference.

Usually the SWG voltage is set the same as the pump since the SWG should be connected to the same switch as the pump.

Ok I'm not pointing a finger because I soaked my 1st cell in straight acid for several hours over its reduced life before I learned better.

I'm putting it out there for anyone else that thinks soaking the cell in acid can't hurt. It hurts alot.

Even when it's needed, the scale should be scraped off with something non mettalic to greatly reduce the acid wash time.

The power pack for the salt cell generator is going to transform the electric from AC to DC with a set voltage. 110V vs 220V input does nothing other than change the amps being pulled from the supply.

Yup, this is a beginners error for sure in which I have learned my lesson, thankfully vinegar is fairly week so hopefully I didn’t dissolve to much remaining life out of it.

this is probably the most valid response in hindsight. It’s all about the simplicity of hook up. Hook up to the timer so the flow switch isn’t the thing controlling it all.
