Hi all, looking for advice.
I have an old failing Hayward automation that I am planning to replace with Pentair intelligencer.
I am not sure if I am ready for the salt cell and depending on price and overall plan may add it later, so the question if it makes sense to buy a system without for now add the salt cell with power supply.
Here is what I plan to power/manage with it.
Pentair Intelliflow pump
Hayward heater
Salt cell (eventually)
Pool lights
Not sure if it makes sense to separate spa light (want to manage colors different from the pool)
Spa valve controllers
Blower.
Controlled outlet.

Which model should I be getting and if its worth to get the system piece by piece rather then a full kit?
Based on my research I would need load center, personality kit, valve controllers, Wifi Module and eventually salt cell with power supply.
I would not mind getting in pieces and installing as I have time over a month or two.

Seems that 521906 - i5PS with the cell may do as a full set and I may not need the more advanced i8PS

P.S. I have color (probably LED) lights I am considering having lights swapped out for Poolexa units. I am frustrated that only way to switch color is to hit on/off for it to cycle and I dont know what color I would get. They came with the pool/house. Is there a way to find out what I have?

Welcome to TFP.

Get the IntelliCenter bundle with the SWG. It is a better value then buying the components individually.

The only difference between the i5 and i8 system is 3 more relays. No more advanced.

The extra relays can come in handy over time for future needs.
