Lucien here. Bought a property this past winter out in Racine, Wisconsin, that came equipped with my very own nightmare, adjacent to a rotting deck. Didn't know the first thing about swimming pools until I pulled the cover off of what had suddenly become mine....a thirty year old above-ground 24' round Doughboy. By the time I figured out that both the pump and the filter needed replacing the only things missing from my newly acquired swamp were water-lilies and a pair of alligators. That is when I started a crash course in pool chemistry 001. Now, four months later, I can finally see the bottom of the pool and can safely swim about in it. I can also attest that I am pretty much as clueless as I was when I first got started.
