Sunlight effect on chlorine

Does indirect sunlight affect pool chlorine, or direct sunlight only?
We have a large tree line to the west and direct sunlight is gone relatively early. Is it ok to add my nightly chlorine dose, or is it better to wait until closer to evening?
Thanks!

It does not make much difference when you add your chlorine each day. Just be sure it never falls below minimum FC for your CYA.

Thank you.
Just curious, since it is best (as I understand it, but maybe I don't) to chlorinate during the night so that the strongest chlorination remains effective for the longest period, so I figured this might be a thing to consider. Searching the net, I haven't seen anyone else who knows the answer either. I'm all about spending as little as possible on chlorine!

If evening is the best time for you to test the FC and add liquid chlorine, great. Overall, it just does not really matter as long as your FC never goes below minimum for your CYA.
