Muriatic acid.
sulfuric acid will add sulfates to your pool. As they build up the destroy metals and concrete/plaster.

For some reason, pool stores in Florida push sulfuric acid.
I don't know of anywhere else where the stores push sulfuric.
I would imagine that there's a really good sulfuric acid salesman who covers Florida.

Great, thank you gentlemen. I’ll stick with muriatic, I have a plaster pool. 3 months old. So far so good. Chlorine is a bit low. I’m going to try running the pump a bit longer.
