Suggestions on how to smooth an exposed aggregate pool deck

I am looking for a suggestion to smooth out the exposed aggregate pool deck. (On a budget). I was thinking skim coating it might be the answer.

Again - on a budget - realistically the entire pool area needs a big remodel plaster coping new deck etc etc. I am looking for something to refresh it and smooth it out.

Nothing you skim coat will last long outdoors. Best bet would be a concrete grinder amd take a little off of it.

I might try renting something from sunbelt. You are talking about the multi disc grinders - Correct?

The look is fine they just made it too course and it hurts to walk on.

There are several models of concrete grinders. There are scarifiers which really take it down and there are disc units that have diamond sand plates. That's why you want. Yiu want to lightly ease the top and grind off just a little. Takes some finesse to make it all uniform so watch some YouTube vids or anything online with some how to advice
