Our Pentair/Maytronics Prowler Warrior SI is failing after 3+ years. Looking for suggestions for a replacement (reasonalby priced, good performance, reliability, etc.). We are not always home, so cordless is probably not the best for us due to charging requirements. Our pool is not large, 11,000 gallons, pebble tech.

We have been happy with the results we had with the Warrior SI and how it works well with the Alexa app for scheduling cleanings. When away we just leave it in the pool and set the schedule.

Would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks!

Call Margaret at Marina Pools and Spas. Tell her (or whomever you get), what you are looking for, and they can help you. Order from them and you get the full warranty because they are Brick and Mortar. Great folks.

Have you tried troubleshooting it?

Our 4 year old Warrior just failed. A few YouTube videos and $8 in parts and we’re back up and running (I serviced the impeller motor). Took about 40 minutes.

Thanks, Jim R. We have worked with Marina several times. They are great! With their help we solved the problem. We had ordered wheel kits from Marina and installed them. That's when we started seeing the problems (cleaner would work for a few minutes, then stop). Called and talked to Seth at Marina, and he explained the problem. The manufacturer changed the design of the wheel kit and the change does not work well with the side panels. The new ones hit the "fins" and impedes the motion. He offered a solution (clip the fins off), and now the cleaner works well.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Well, I'm glad you got it running, but have no clue what 'fins' you are talking about..

Any pics or advice on what the fins are or what they do?

Any idea what changed on the wheel kits?

Thanks,

Jim R.

Sorry I couldn't take a photo of ours, but found this on youtube. Our side panels are white, but otherwise the same as this. The "fins" are the spokes circled in red. We shaved them down with a dremel tool, but left the circle that rests on the bushing.

Don't remember how Seth said the manufacturer changed the kit, but when we took the panel off, some of the "fins" were broken, so the new part was hitting them and causing the problem. So far, it seems grinding them down solved the problem.
