Sugar Hill Pool Build. About to be on!

NICE! I see the drain in the floor. Where does it go? Do you have a way to empty the filter and such when needed? How about venting for the pump ?

The floor drain goes under ground and exits outside. The filters will just have to be emptied in trash can and thrown away. The soffit up top is vented seems to be plenty of air for the pumps. We do have 2 pumps for spas and pool. There is also a 400k btu heater that will have the exhaust vented out of the space. They did the calculations and said there was enough makeup air.

The filters is filled with water. You will have to use the valves to shut the flow of water coming to and from the pool. Once you shut the valves there is still going to be water in the filter. Once you open the filter "tub" you will have to take the filter out to wash it out. This will be very wet work just opening the tub and removing the filter unit to take it outside to hose off. Just make sure your floor drain is open and clear all the way to where it comes to daylight.

Got it. Yeah there is 2 floor drains on each side by the equipment. We are just about to wrap up this construction phase then we can get it all cleaned up! It’s been a long journey. Fun tho!

They just wrapped up the lanai. It’s almost 2,600 sqft so it’s a big one. But man it transformed the inside look. I will get some pics from the inside tomorrow. Here is a shot of it from the outside. On another note we are have some plaster issues. The plaster company is coming out Friday to assess. It’s wet edge primera stone so they polished it. It’s very smooth but looks very streaky like the “cream” as they call it is smeared by the buffer. We’ll see what they say but they have agreed it should not look like it does at the moment. Once they got the water clear you could really see it. Always something .IMG_0883.jpeg

Its crazy how the frame let you know the dimensions but it wasn't real until the screens got wrapped.

Twice I had a 20x40 tent a few feet from the 20x40 pool. The pool seemed small and the tent seemed cavernous while 30 something people had equal personal space in each. You can't really sense the depth in the pool once it's filled so it's kinda 2D. The lanai on the other hand is fully felt. And it's also bigger to feel it even more. Lol.

It feels like it just added 2,600 sqft of living space. It’s right off the living room where the 20ft bifold door opens all the way up. So it feels like the pool is in the living room. We’re so ready to get down! Loving it at the moment. Appreciate the good words.

NICE! It is more living area for sure. I don't think I would be eating inside the house anymore with that wonderful area just waiting to be used! WELL DONE!

Good luck on the plaster. Make sure to talk to us before they do anything so we can make sure it is the best way in the long run.
