Suction side air leak will it damage pump

Good afternoon everyone,

Just had my backyard landscaped. Extended the pool lines to change equipment location. Now have air in lid and returb lines. Checked orings, lids and connections.
What are the odds that its where the pool company extended the line?

Also if i run the pump with air continuously in lid will that have any affect on the pump??

Pretty good.

No problem as long as the pump does not lose prime and run dry.
