Suction cleaner - pool pump always has large amount of air swirling.

Sorry conmore -haven't been much use today but taking into account that you seem to have eliminated the leaks from both the equipment pad side and the the vacuum hose, there could be something coming from the skimmer or underneath. Funnily enough, I did some research to see if I could find anything that resembled your problem and I came up with this from Whirlpool which sounds very similar if you scroll down to the last post. The guy has even put a couple of photos up as well. This could well be your culprit! I guess then the decision is to dig, let it be if your not losing water or prime and the cleaner seems to work fine or upgrade to the robot:wink:

Try running the pump with no skimmer plate in the skimmer. Let the skimming happen until the water going into the skimmer is clean. Then pull out the skimmer basket and watch/listen inside the skimmer with the pump running. See if you can suss out where that gurgling is coming from.

Hi

I'll check that over the weekend, but I can confirm that after 24+ hours the bucket test has indicated there is no water loss. Inside and outside lines on the bucket are even. If there is water loss, it's marginal to say the least. I'm assuming it would have to be a serious leak to indicate water loss in a pool with a volume of 30,000 litres.

Cheers
