Well like many others I have read about having issues with the Globrite my 3 year old light went bad due to leaking.
I was determined to find a replacement light that would fit in the niche and not be locked into another useless Pentair Globrite.
Florida Sunseeker had my answer, the Pool tone nicheless 1.5" light. Half the cost, just as bright, and you can see the light body is a solid molded piece.
Was an easy swap and works like a charm. The only thing I notice is the Globrite is small and flush with the wall surface. Pooltone is 6" in diameter and is not flush with the wall, but protrudes only 1/2". I can live with that for the reliability and savings.
