I have a 24000 gallon pool. I keep getting algae on and around my steps even after I add chlorine. I have to brush my steps everyday. Any pointers? Leslies has me add acid, then chlorine. I use perfect weekly every week.

Unfortunately, the pool store advice and expensive products will be no help. You have algae so you need to follow our SLAM Process. For that you will need a proper test kit, either a TF-100 or Taylor K-2006C. That's a must.
