Storing chlorine

So it's getting close to the time to close my pool. This is the first year I used a stenner pump to administer the chlorine and it worked so much better than expected. My plumbing to my pool is outside my garage wall so I installed the pump on the inside wall with a 15 gal. tank under it and run the feeder tube through the wall. It really works great. My question is that after I close the pool, I will have 5 or so gal. of chlorine left over. Will it keep if I leave it in my tank or should I put it back in the 5 gal container I bought it in. I buy 12.5% liquid chlorine in 5 gal. containers ($16) from my local pool dealer. It's actually cheaper than buying gal. jugs from Walmart. My garage stays above 40 during the winter months here in NY.

You can leave it in the container. At those temperatures it will degrade a little. But you can use it up early in the season.
