Alright, so let’s say you got the chlorine, went through a round of SLAM... but the pool is still cloudy. What then? Or is this just halfway through the SLaM process and it will clear by the end?
You are correct - stick with the SLAM Process. But pull that ladder. it could be the source of your algae. Inspect it really well. Flush out the pipes with chlorine and open up the steps if you can. Those ladders can really hide algae quite well. Hang in there!
Will do. Thank you, I wouldn’t have thought of that. I pulled the tab float, vacuumed and have had the filter on for about a week. Hopefully we can actually get in the pool soon
Remember that even during the SLAM Process you can go in the water as long as you can see the bottom safely and the FC level does not exceed the SLAM FC level for your current CYA as noted on the FC/CYA Levels. If you have any doubts about yoru chemistry, feel free to post a full set of numbers and we can validate them for you.
