stiff leading edge for solar blanket

I have a 32x16' in-ground pool and I have been looking for solution to the problem of covering the pool singlehandedly without getting a good amount of water on the cover.

Before I commit to creating something from pool noodles & PVC pipes (along the lines of DIY Solar pool cover towing boom for €20 - Improdia) I was wondering whether similar products are available in the US. I haven't found any so far: the UK seems to be the place for these, e.g. AquaSpoiler | Aquaflex and Domestic Leading Edge.

All pointers & suggestions welcome!

If your blanket is on a roller just unroll a few feet onto the water. Then flip back a few feet onto itself, go to the other side of the pool and walk the blanket on fully. Go to the end and undo the fold over. Can be done in the time it takes to read this post. simple and easy.
