Our pool is a couple of months old. The past couple of days I've noticed that there is very little return flow to the spa while in Pool mode. If we stick our thumbs in a couple of the pool return jets to force the flow back through the spa, the problem goes away for the rest of the day. I assume I just need to open the Jandy check valve for the spa return and put some silicone pool lube in there, but I would appreciate any other suggestions.

Jandy check valves actually can be replaced (the innards) easily, not lubed. You should look into your Spa for the Common Return. It likely has a "Check Valve" jet. That jet is likely the key problem not the jandy check valve. I could be wrong though. If it is the jandy, replae the flap, don't lube. if the spa-check jet, replace it.
