Quick question that I *think* I already know the answer to...
I have a 120v stenner pump for chlorine addition. It is currently plugged into my GFCI outlet, via a digital timer to control run times. I have been thinking about wiring to the Pentair Easy Touch panel through an aux relay, though, and getting rid of the external digital timer. Then it would have the benefit of never being able to run without the filter pump running.
My filter pump is a 240v VS Pentair. Since I already have the 120v stenner, and don't really want to replace the pump, my only options to wire the voltage in-line is to use ANOTHER interposing relay, correct?
Basically:
1. Output of 240v filter pump relay goes to coil input on new non-Pentair, self provided 240V relay I would have to mount in the cabinet.
2. Contact voltage for new self-provided relay would be 120v fed from new 120v breaker installed in the panel.
3. 120V Contact output of the new self-provided relay would be the feed to contact input on the Pentair AUX7 relay.
4. Stenner pump connected to contact output of Pentair relay
Or is there a simpler way of doing it without another relay (and without replacing my stenner pump.
