I hope this is posted in the correct forum. I have a slight waterline scale problem. I am better with CSI and pH now so shouldn’t be an issue after I remove what’s there. I’m going to use the method recommended for removing mild scale via steel brush and chems noted. What type of hand held steel brush should I get that will be safe for tile and grout?

I don't believe I'd use any sort of wire brush on tile since it'll very likely leave scratches.
I bought a pumice stone in the pool section of Home Depot. Worked like a charm after a acid wash on the scale.
I've had good luck with a pumice stone as well. I don't like anything steel near my pool. I once bought a wall brush that had nylon and "stainless" steel bristles; the "stainless" ones rusted pretty badly.

Yes, I read the steel brushes aren't good because the bristles come off and can leave rust marks in your pool.
Your tile manufacturer might provide cleaning instructions. I have NPT tiles and they recommend avoiding both steel brushes and pumice stones. I imagine the tiles are all pretty much the same.
