Hi everyone, now that my 1 year warranty was up I had my PB come out and install my SWG for the pool. Unfortunately during that time I also tore my achilles so I am not able to do a lot of stuff and want to try and get my bro in law to hopefully do what is needed to convert the pool since the Salt Cell is up and running but I haven't added salt etc. Can you confirm I am doing the right thing to get it started? Not sure If I need to adjust anything before getting started.

I just tested the pool yesterday and these are the results.

FC - 13.5 (Added some power chlorine after kids were in there but it went a bit high)
PH - 7.5
TA - 60
CH - 475
CYA - 70

Salt Level with the test kit showed around 1200ppm right now.

So from what I can gather by reading on here I should get my ppm close to 3K which based on the sheet in the test kit and my pool being 10K gallons I need about 150 pounds of Salt. (125 increases 1500 and 250 increases 3,000 ppm)

I then should unplug my salt cell and let it mix into the water for a full 12 hour session that my pump is running. Then plug in the Salt Cell and see if the LED goes green meaning the salt content is enough and then monitor.

Is there anything I'm missing?

Thank you in advance.

Sounds good. I'd add 80% of the balance to reach target and creep up the rest of the way.

I aimed real low (200 lbs low) and hit my target anyway.

Your numbers above look good. Now you just need to increase the salt. Dump it in and let is circulate for 24 hrs before you turn on the SWG. That's it!

Thank you for the replies. I'll touch base once I get it going in the next day or so.
