Our 6981 gallon pool is almost full! We added 175 lbs of salt and the filter is ready. We have almost all the supplies for chemicals (I think?) this is what we have:
1 gallon of bleach, 1 box of borax, 32 fl oz of Muratic acid, Baking Soda and 2 1.75 lbs of Pool stabilizer/conditioner

I also ordered the Taylor K-2006 test kit and Salt water strips which will be here Wednesday

When the pool is done filling, add the CYA? If so, how much? After that what else should we do? I've looked at Pool School and have read every tab a few times so please don't tell me to just "go read that" but instead please give a detailed description :)

You picked a cold week to set up a pool!

In pool math you will have to set targets to get recommended amounts to add. For a salt water pool aim for 50 CYA at first then go up in increments of 10 until you are at 70.
pH, aim for 7.5
FC aim for 5

Once you get your kit and get a full list of results post up here and we can help you with any questions you have.

Get the cya in by hanging a sock full of it in front of a return, or if your still filling, the hose. Use enough bleach to get yourself up to your desired FC level. Adjust ph. Then test all your levels, if they're in range, start the SWG.

Do you know how to work the pool math calculator?

Just FYI... Your fill water has no cya in it, so you don't need to test it... Just use the right amount to bring yourself up to 50 based on the calculator
