Starting a SLAM today!

Yep! Go!

When you are done, you want every one of your FC tests to be in range.

NO: Test, I'm below range, dose to get to range.
YES: Test, I'm in range, dose high enough, even if above range, so that my test tomorrow is in range.

Never let the pool get below range. #TeamRunHot

+3 ppm could last a week in April and it may last a few hours at lunch time in August. The daily loss swings like a bell curve through the season and you'll know what its been recently thanks to regular testing.

Next week will behave very similar to last week at any point in the season. There is an occasional whoopsie week here and there, such as a particularly brutal heat wave, but for the most part it follows the general plan.

Pool has looked pretty good. Recently it has become aqua blue and not entirely clear. I believe I need to lower ta (and ph is it’s connected). Will this help clear up the aqua blue?

Levels:
FC - 3(I’ve added chlorine to get to 8)
TA - 100
PH - 7.7
CYA - 50
Temp - 72

The only change needed is the SLAM process if the water isn’t clear. The pH and TA are fine.

Ok - I know it’s hard not knowing my numbers, but they have looked good since my last SLAM a couple of weeks ago. Am I doing something wrong? I try and brush every day and run the robot every day. I don’t have to mess with the ta or ph a ton as the numbers have been fine.

You are allowing your FC to get too low for your CYA. Always follow this...Link-->FC/CYA Levels

You should keep enough FC so that you are in range, WHEN YOU TEST. If you have to dose above range, so that when you test you are in range, then dose higher.

You’re not keeping enough chlorine in the water.

Brushing and robots are fine but those are a waste of time if the chlorine is low. Finish the new SLAM and then start recording your test results so you track whats going on. Letting chlorine get down to 3ppm isnt helping.
