Start up post-resurfacing. Should I hold off on DE until dust clears?

My pool was just resurfaced so I’m in the process of starting it back up. The pool surface is pebble and there’s quite a bit of dust. The dust seems to be clogging up the filter causing my pressure to rise to nearly 30. My normal pressure is ~15

I plan on opening up the filter and hosing it down. Should I hold off on adding more DE until after the dust is gone or should I add DE again after rinsing the filter?

No, running the filter for more then 10 minutes without DE can clog the grids and require grid replacement.

Backwash the filter and replace the DE as necessary.
