Recently added a chlorine generator. I added Clorox salt. Now my stairs are stained yellow and my robot is collecting a Brown residue. Any thoughts?

Could you share any pictures of the staining? And any test results, along with the source of the numbers? It would help us narrow down the cause of your problems.

Clorox brand salt has been identified here as a problem salt- various bags seem to be contaminated with iron or other minerals.
Try rubbing with a sock full of crushed cheap chewable Vitamin C tablets on the stairs and see if that helps.
