I have a 15,000 gallon cement pool. Opened and cleaned up from the winter. Water is clear but we have stains on the walls and floor. We have used metal out 2 qts with no results.never in 15 yrs have we had this problem. It's a DE filter system and works great. I'm at a loss on what to do. Pool store just wants keep trying to sell me more "stuff". I super chlorinated and no results. Anybody have amy suggestions on how to remove these stains without draining and doing a acid bath???

hello Underdog! Welcome to Trouble Free Pools.
Do you use algaecides or any CloroxXtra Blue products? They contain copper which can stain as it builds up from use.
Any chance you have iron in your fill water? You'd can often see if the sink/toilet get stained
Did the pool get filled with well water or city water?

If you would grab a handful of chewable Vitamin C tablets, smash them up in a sock and scrub an area of stain and see if it changes for the better. That usually means iron. That's one we can teach you how to remove.

The only way to remove copper is to drain/refill with non-copper containing water. Seqestrants come in to play then and help "hide" the copper but requires routine doses.
