So I opened my pool last week. I believe the finish is some kind of quartz but I am unsure because the pool was refinished by the previous homeowners in 2017.

When I opened, there was some debris/worms around the drains in the deep end and in the spa. I got the pool cleaned up, filter cleaned, water balanced, everything is good. However, I have an unusual amount of what I would call dirt staining around the drains. They are kind of yellow. I scrubbed them with the brush and they lightened somewhat but I still find them to be too noticeable. Has anyone ever dealt with and solved this problem before? I don’t think they are rust or iron stains, I more so think they are organic stains.

For organic staining you might need to simply keep the FC level elevated for a week or so and continue the brushing. It could take time for the chorine to penetrate the organic stains. If you feel like diving :snorkle: you might be able to rub a chlorine tab on the stained area.

I’m going to try to get down there this weekend and rub a chlorine tablet on the area. Thanks
