Stained Travertine??

Hello all!
Our coping was done with 12x12 travertine pavers a few weeks back. I thought the travertine looked to have turned brown but thought it was just dirty from all the dirt around. Yesterday the rest of the travertine was laid (this is all the same colored travertine) clearly the coping is stained. Anyone know what could have happened?? Luckily we have not paid the contractor yet.

thanks for any advice!

Welcome to TFP.

Looks to me like the coping came from a different batch of stone.

Let us know what the builder says.

I think that it's going to be difficult to get it back to the original color.

They might be able to sand it down to get most of the color off.

What does the builder say?
