Took my pump to a local pool store to have the motor replaced. It looks like they accidentally put the longer bolts up top first and punched through the seal plate. I wasn't sure if it would be issue but it seems to be leaking from that area. I'm assuming this is an issue. Thoughts?

Wrong bolts in wrong location. Ugh. 
Yes, a leak at the seal plate is an issue. I would ask them to replace that seal plate/gasket seal. Hopefully they did a better job with the shaft seals so those aren't leaking as well. Good luck with the repairs. Thanks for using the forum. Stick around and have a nice weekend.

Based on the oxidation of the plate, I would assume that it's super old.
It's probably time to replace the pump.
