Hello again. So, recently my 7 year old Sta-Rite Max E Therm heater was suddenly not heating this week. Everything powered on and there were no error codes posting, but when the igniter sound engaged, it was not followed by the whoosh . . . I finally got the ignition lockout error (three flashes).
After reviewing many threads on this site, I went with the bad igniter and my Pentair Igniter & Gasket Replacement Kit arrived today. I carefully removed the old igniter and bracket and replaced it with the new igniter. After getting everything reconnected, the heater will not power on at all. Now, when I turn the circuit breaker on, the red led flashes once and then nothing. The top controller is not lighting up or booting up at all. I have checked all of the wire connections, as I thought I might have accidentally dislodged a wire when I was putting in the igniter, but everything looks to be connected as it was before I started the igniter replacement.
I was wondering if there is some reset I am missing or if the new igniter was somehow installed in such a way that would prevent the entire heater from powering at all. I am baffled and would love any troubleshooting ideas.
As always, I appreciate your time and assistance.
